Tell Me What Hurts: Storytelling and the Healing Arts

The Maine Women Writers Collection at the University of New England in Maine, USA, and co-host, the School of English at the University of Kent, invite you to attend the health humanities symposium Tell Me What Hurts: Storytelling and the Healing Arts, free and open to the public (with registration required). This event will explore many stories of healing, from personal to professional to collective, using approaches from the arts, humanities, and health professions. It will encourage interdisciplinary conversation and offer insight into the various ways we use storytelling to heal, educate, and support professional growth. The touchstone of this symposium is the work of Martha A. Hall, whose artists’ books are on exhibit in the Jack Ketchum Library Gallery at UNE’s Biddeford Campus during the fall semester of 2018. We hope that you can join us!
