College of Physicians of Philadelphia Honors Poets

Last November, the Section on Medicine and the Arts at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia announced a Poetry Competition open to students, health care practitioners, educators and the general public on the themes of medicine, health, and health care. Over 170 poets from 30 states, Canada and the U.K. submitted a diverse array of original poems to the competition.

Please join us on Tuesday, April 21 at 6 p.m. at the College of Physicians as we applaud those poets. Winning poems, those that earned honorable mention and more will be read as we acknowledge the 25th Anniversary of National Poetry Month and celebrate all that poetry brings to our understanding of medicine, healing and the human condition.

Please help spread the word to family, friends, colleagues and students. Visit the College web site: to see the winning poems and registration details.
