An extended call for proposals for InSight2: Engaging the Health Humanities international exhibition and publication which offer frameworks for examining linkages, experiences, visualizations and productive imaginings at the nexus of the health humanities, design and community engagement. InSight2 builds on the success of our 2012 InSight: Visualizing Health Humanities exhibition (see www.insight.healthhumanities.ca) and publication. For our next project, we are opening up our exploration of the emerging health humanities field to international contributions and perspectives.
InSight2, which will also include a 2-day symposium, will explore how we can engage the health humanities to help us work collaboratively across disciplines and communities, to imagine and design innovative and transformative processes, communications, products, environments, services and experiences that can help to promote our health and well-being.
We invite visual, textual, or other hybrid proposals that contribute to dialogue and debate about how we can engage the health humanities to help us work collaboratively across disciplines and communities to imagine and design innovative and transformative processes, communications, products, environments, services and experiences that can help to promote our health and well-being. We are particularly interested in insights and perspectives that challenge habitual frames of mind and open up opportunities to explore uncharted territories in formats that blur the boundaries, for example, between the visual and the textual, the tactile and the virtual, and the conventional and the radical.
The InSight2 exhibition will be centred at the Fine Arts Building Gallery at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) from May 14 to June 8, 2013. Go to our InSight2 website at http://www.insight2.healthhumanities.ca , for detailed submission guidelines (including important dates) and regular updates regarding our InSight 2 project.
